National Dailogue Summit 2026
Sept. 10, 2026
Different Voices. One Shared Purpose.
The National Dialogue Summit on Suicide Prevention 2026 held on 10 September 2026, successfully brought together professionals, educators, mental health practitioners, media representatives, students, community members, organizations, and advocates from diverse backgrounds to create a shared space for dialogue, learning, and collaboration around suicide prevention and mental health.
Suicide prevention is not the responsibility of one individual, profession, or sector alone, the summit created an opportunity for different voices to come together, exchange perspectives, and explore the role each of us can play in building safer, more supportive, and more connected communities.
Throughout the day, the summit featured panel discussions, suicide prevention training, responsible reporting sessions, interactive stalls, and opportunities for networking and meaningful conversations.
The panel discussions brought forward diverse perspectives and experiences, creating space to reflect on the complexities surrounding suicide and mental health. Conversations also highlighted the importance of approaching these issues with empathy, sensitivity, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of the social and community factors that influence people's wellbeing.
The suicide prevention training provided participants with practical knowledge and greater awareness of how individuals and communities can recognize concerns, respond with care, and connect people with appropriate support. Similarly, the session on responsible reporting emphasized the important role of media and communication in shaping public understanding of suicide and mental health, while encouraging ethical, sensitive, and responsible approaches to reporting.
Beyond the formal sessions, the interactive stalls became spaces for connection, learning, and conversation. Participants had the opportunity to explore resources, exchange ideas, and connect with others working toward similar goals. These conversations reminded us that meaningful change often begins with simple acts of listening, understanding, and reaching out.
The summit was more than a one-day event. It was a collective effort to start conversations, challenge silence, encourage responsible action, and strengthen connections among people and organizations working toward suicide prevention and mental wellbeing.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the panelists, facilitators, participants, volunteers, teachers, sponsors, partners, and supporting organizations who contributed their time, knowledge, energy, and commitment to making the summit possible. Your presence and participation helped make the dialogue richer and more meaningful.
Our sincere gratitude goes to Grande International Hospital, our Mental Health Supporting Sponsor – Aanandit Hridaya, Media Supporting Sponsor – Halkara Khabar, and Community Supporting Partners – Bright Minds, Nura, Medhavi, and Street To Home for standing with us and supporting this important initiative.
We are grateful to everyone who showed up—not only to attend, but to listen, learn, question, share, and connect.
As we move forward, the conversations started at the summit can continue in our homes, schools, workplaces, communities, media spaces, and professional settings. Suicide prevention requires ongoing dialogue and collective responsibility, and every sector has a role to play in creating environments where people can seek help, feel supported, and know that their experiences matter.
Together, we continue to change the narrative, start the conversation, and create hope through action.
Because every conversation matters.
Every connection matters.
Every effort toward understanding matters.
And together, we can contribute to communities where people feel heard, supported, connected, and cared for.
