Mental Health Initiative: Hope hermitage Elderly care Home

Oct. 14, 2025

On 28th of Ashoj, At Hope Hermitage Elderly Care, Gairidhara, Kathmandu, National Solution
and Research Centre (NSRC) successfully conducted the 17th session under its 100 Mental
Health Program Initiative, focusing on psychosocial well-being and emotional connection with
senior citizens. The session was thoughtfully designed to encourage one-on-one engagement
with elderly residents, where meaningful conversations were held to explore their personal
stories, life experiences, and perspectives on emotional well-being. Through these heartfelt
exchanges, participants were given a safe space to express themselves, reflect on their journeys,
and feel genuinely heard and valued.

The session also included interactive activities that helped create a comfortable and welcoming
environment, strengthening trust and promoting deeper human connection among participants
and facilitators. These engaging moments not only supported emotional expression but also
fostered joy, comfort, and a sense of belonging within the care setting. This initiative was
conducted in collaboration with Bright Mind Education Hub, Easy Learning, and Street to
HOME, whose continuous support has been instrumental in advancing mental health awareness
efforts. NSRC extends sincere gratitude to all partners and supporters for their commitment to
creating meaningful change. Together, we continue to create safe spaces that nurture connection,
understanding, and wellbeing—one conversation at a time.
