10th Mental Health Program: Supporting Initiating Foundation
Sept. 26, 2025
The 10th session under the “100 Mental Health Program Initiative” was successfully conducted
at Supporting Children Initiating Foundation (SCIF) Nepal, Kirtipur on 10th of Ashoj 2083,
where NSRC engaged with 14–15 children in interactive and meaningful mental health activities.
The session aimed to help children better understand their emotions, develop healthy coping
strategies, and create awareness about the importance of emotional wellbeing from an early age.
Through a safe and child-friendly environment, participants were encouraged to express
themselves openly and confidently.
During the program, children explored different emotions and learned why recognizing and
understanding feelings is important for mental wellbeing. The session included practical self-care
techniques such as journaling, expressive writing, and breathing exercises that children could use
in their daily lives to manage stress and emotions. An interactive emotional chart activity further
encouraged participants to identify and express their feelings in creative and engaging ways.
Alongside these discussions, fun experiential activities helped children build self-awareness,
emotional expression, coping skills, and confidence in a supportive atmosphere.
This milestone reflects NSRC’s continued commitment to creating safe spaces where young
people can learn, grow, and strengthen their emotional wellbeing. By promoting mental health
awareness through interactive and compassionate approaches, the initiative continues to support
children in becoming emotionally resilient and confident individuals. The session was conducted
in collaboration with Bright Mind Education Hub, Street to HOME, and Easy Learning, and we
extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our collaborators and supporters who continue to stand beside
us in changing lives and building a healthier and more supportive Nepal.
