One life matters, Prioritize it: Suicide Prevention Training
Dec. 20, 2025
National Solution and Research Centre (NSRC) successfully concluded another impactful
Suicide Prevention Training (Gatekeeper Training) conducted on Saturday, 5th Poush, 2082. The
training was organized with the aim of increasing awareness about suicide prevention,
strengthening understanding of mental health challenges, and equipping participants with
essential gatekeeping skills to identify, support, and respond to individuals who may be
experiencing emotional distress or suicidal thoughts. Throughout the session, participants
engaged in meaningful discussions surrounding empathy, active listening, emotional support,
and the importance of timely intervention in saving lives and promoting mental wellbeing within
communities.
NSRC extends heartfelt gratitude to Clinical Psychologist Anjan Dhakal for his valuable
facilitation, guidance, and contribution in making the session insightful and impactful. His
expertise and compassionate approach helped create a safe and interactive learning environment
where participants could openly engage, reflect, and learn. A sincere thank you also goes to all
the amazing participants whose warmth, energy, openness, and active participation made the
training truly meaningful. Your willingness to learn and become part of a more supportive and
aware community is a powerful step toward creating safer spaces where conversations about
mental health and suicide prevention can happen with compassion, understanding, and care.
